The water resistance of a Daniel Wellington timepiece is 3ATM.
We recommend that you avoid all contact with water. Avoid wearing the watch when showering, bathing, swimming, diving, or any activity where it is exposed directly to water. The watch is resistant to everyday use and light rain.
Kindly note that water damaged is not covered under the 24-month warranty.
Our Silver watches are made of stainless steel (316L).
Our Rose Gold watches have a stainless steel core (316L) and two platings. The base plating is 0.8 Micron TiCN (a yellow colored base metal) and the top coating is made of 0.1 Micron rose gold (made of 85% 23 karat gold and 15% copper to create the rose color) and our gold color accessories have a plating that is more than 96 % gold.
The glass of the watch is made of hardened mineral glass. It is resistant to normal wear and tear but should be used with care.
Kindly note that a damaged glass/crystal is not covered under the 24-month warranty.
Leather strap - we do not recommend you to wash the leather wristband. Any exposure to water will dry the leather and possibly cause damage to the wristband. However, a local watchmaker or watch retailer may have cleaning products specifically designed for leather.
NATO strap- Always remove the watch face from the wristband. Use lukewarm water together with soap and gently brush the wristband. Leave it to dry flat on a towel.
Mesh strap- With the Mesh strap, we recommend to give it a light clean by mixing some water and detergent. Please use a toothbrush and a cotton swab to clean it. The toothbrush can be good to reach into the small spaces in between.
Please do always remove the strap from the watch face when cleaning the strap.
Many of our timepieces feature watchbands that are interchangeable and can be easily swapped. Watches that have interchangeable straps will be marked as such on their product page.
Kindly note that our Iconic Link Collection do not have interchangeable straps.
Please note that Petite 36mm watch is not compatible with straps that are designed for the Classic 36mm watch.
Using any strap that is not specifically designed for your watch could result in damaging the watch and/or the strap.
