The Hair Growth Cycle

We want our hair to stay in the growth phase for as long as possible and our range of products are all designed with this in mind.

Anagen is the first and most important phase for growth. The longer hair stays in this phase, the longer it will grow (about 80-90% of hair is in the Anagen phase at one time.) Catagen is a transitional phase lasting around 2 weeks when the hair detaches itself from the blood supply and a 'Club Hair' is formed.

Telogen is when the resting 'Club Hairs' are released, and the hair follicle rests for around 3 months. New hair then pushes the club hairs up and out of the follicle. Exogen is the final phase in the cycle where the old hair sheds from the scalp. This can last around 2-5 months before the follicle then starts to grow new hairs and starts back at the Anagen phase again.
